Tour Information

SDG-Sicily Driver Guide offers both walking tours and private tours year-round.

Tours last approximately two hours and cover between one and two miles at a moderate walking pace.

 

All tours are available for private and group requests. We can accommodate group sizes ranging from 1 to 500 participants. Surf on our pages regarding "Visiting Palermo" where you will find some useful information regarding main Palermo highlights.

Tour Description

Just for sample: our assistant will meet you at the hotel (if your hotel is central located i.e. Piazza Castelnuovo area) to escort you through the city to visit the lovely Monreale Dome, Norman Palace & Palatine Chapel, Cathedral, Capo Market and Massimo Theatre .... a cheaper solution (no more Eur 200,00 total vat included) to visit the town using BUS and by walk.

Tour Description (just a simple)

 I will meet you at hotel.
h 9:00

 

AM

 

 We will catch on the first bus available to Piazza Indipendenza. On arrival we will change the bus to pick up another one who will move us to Monreale.

On arrival to Monreale we will visit the amazing Dome.

Time to take our Cappuccino and Croissant.

PM

 

Than again into the bus to back to Palermo.

On arrival to Palermo we will stop to Piazza Indipendenza. From here our tour will start by walk. From Piazza Indipendenza we will pass on the Porta Nuova, the Palermo door, to enter in Corso Vittorio Emanuele, an old street who divide Palermo in two side. 300 metres and we will reach the Cathedral.

 Short stop to admire the Cathedral and a stop in a local trattoria for our optional light lunch.

 At the end of our lunch we will admire the Four Corners and Piazza Pretoria.

 Then across the Capo Market we will reach the Massimo Theatre (the Palermo Opera House).
